The Role
As our Retention Manager, you will own the subscription growth framework by turning user engagement into predictable, long-term business value. You will directly impact global scale by defining our activation metrics and designing experiments that move user habits at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Architect the retention model by identifying leading indicators like activation rates and habit loops to drive subscriber health.
Discover the "Aha! Moment" and scale onboarding programmes to guide new users to value faster.
Execute cross-functional experiments across product features, onboarding flows, and CRM channels to improve retention drivers.
Lead churn interventions by diagnosing root causes and distinguishing between voluntary and involuntary churn.
Drive alignment across Product, Data, and Engineering to instrument the funnel and prioritize retention goals.
Deliver weekly health metrics, forecasting retention trends 30–90 days out based on upstream behavioral signals.
Qualifications
Proven growth background managing retention or subscription models through data-driven product frameworks.
Strong analytical mindset with experience mapping user journeys, defining activation metrics, and analyzing churn.
Experimentation expertise running A/B tests across product features, in-app messaging, or CRM loops.
Natural cross-functional leadership capable of influencing product, engineering, and data teams toward shared goals.
Nice to Have
Experience scaling mobile app subscription products globally.
Background working in a fast-paced, hyper-growth tech scale-up.
